10/31/2009 Seriously, I want a GF. "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good taste of beauty, must be in want of a DSLR." Jane Austen must would have written this today. After two years shooting with a Canon SD800 (aka IXUS850), I have started to hate its nowhere-focused and cannot-be-enlarged image quality. All I want is to keep the memory of Keywest sunset, or Grand Canyon morning truthfully and colorfully through the pictures I took. Yet the bulky size of the DSLRs has always made me think twice. Moreover, I am too shy to carry an entry-level brick with rudimentary knowledge of photography in mind, and be complimented as 'an expert'. It all has changed with her arrival - the Panasonic Lumix GF1. Some alternative models are: Canon G11, Panasonic LX3, etc. But a voice within my heart says: you should go along with Austen's words. It is time to get a GF now. Comments (10)
